Our Cabinetry Design Process

  • STEP 1 : Consultation

    Book the Consultation: Answer a few questions about your project, select the available time on our calendar.

    In Home Consultation & Measure: We’ll visit your home to experience the space, take accurate measurements, and discuss your cabinetry goals, functional needs, design preferences, and budget.

    Quote: Using the information we collect during the Design Consultation, we will prepare a quote for cabinetry, hardware, and lighting if required.

  • STEP 2 : Design Time

    Product Retainer: If you accept the quote, we will collect a product deposit and start designing your cabinetry.

    Layout: We will prepare detailed 2D elevations and 3D views of each wall to help you visualize the cabinetry layout.

    In Studio Design Meeting: We will meet again in our studio to get your feedback on the layout and look at different cabinet box styles, door styles and finishes, as well as decorative hardware options to select the perfect look for your space.

  • STEP 3 : Order & Delivery

    Pricing Proposal: Based on your final selections we will prepare and email you a detailed Pricing Proposal.

    Payment & Ordering: Upon your acceptance of the Pricing Proposal, we’ll collect the full payment (minus the Design Consultation fee and the retainer amount) to place your order.

    Delivery: We will deliver your custom cabinetry straight to your project site.

  • STEP 4 : Installation

    We install: Installation can be provided by our skilled installer for an additional fee.

    A contractor of your choice: Alternatively, you may choose an independent contractor for the installation.

  • All of our cabinetry is custom-made to order and meticulously factory-assembled before shipping to ensure the highest quality. Lead times vary based on the volume. Orders typically take 6-10 weeks from placement to delivery.

  • Yes! We can design custom cabinetry for any room in your home, including closets, living areas, home offices, and even outdoor spaces.

  • Installation can be provided by our trusted installer for an additional fee. If you prefer to use an independent contractor of your choice, we will deliver the cabinetry to your project site and hand it off to your contractor with detailed installation instructions.

  • Yes, both Crystal and IMD Cabinets offer environmentally friendly options, including low-VOC finishes and non-toxic, formaldehyde-free materials, in line with our mission to promote healthier living environments.

    It’s important to note that as a natural material, wood emits organic compounds, including VOCs. While these emissions are generally harmless, some hardwoods may pose challenges for individuals with chemical sensitivities, respiratory conditions, or weakened immune systems. We’re happy to discuss these factors and help you choose the best materials for your specific needs.

  • Our custom cabinetry projects require a minimum budget of $5,000.

    Cabinetry is highly customizable, so costs can vary significantly based on the size of your project, the materials, finishes, and specific design needs. We will provide a detailed estimate after measuring your space and understanding your specific requirements.

  • Absolutely! We partner with top quartz manufacturers and have resources for natural stone and butcher block as well. When you purchase countertops from V & Co Design, our fabricator will template and install your countertop per our specifications.

  • You bet! We have a wide selection of beautiful and durable hardware and bathroom accessories to compliment your new cabinetry.

  • Absolutely! We have samples of materials, finishes, and full size door profiles to help you select the perfect style for your space.

  • Yes, both Crystal and IMD Cabinets come with Limited Lifetime Warranty. We’ll provide warranty details and care instruction during the ordering process to ensure your peace of mind.
